Art is a multi-faceted tool everyone can use for many different purposes. From healing to entertainment, art is something for which there is no incorrect use. Multi-disciplinary artist and photographer Alissa Christine describes herself as a multidimensional, multisensory, high vibration, visionary, virtual reality, healing artist. She is blending the boundaries of art, wellness, and technology to create new artistic experiences.
Alissa is also an XR experience performer and designer, author, and crypto curator. A two-time first place winner of two live global XR painting competitions, she is recognized as a VR pioneer. Her VR journey began in 2018 with an international VR painting performance and progressed toward creating meditative VR experiences, and eventually led her to spearheading VR NFT exhibits. Her VR worlds have been featured in immersive Metaverses including VRchat, AltspaceVR, WaveXR, and Virtual Burning Man. With her 3D light sculpture paintings to be explored in XR, her manifestations focus on positive change by inspiring inner growth, spirituality and sustainability, with love.
She has participated in the first-ever all female Women of Crypto Art (WOCA) NFT Exhibit in the Metaverse. A proud member of The Guild NFT Collective, she has contributed to exclusive collaborations that help benefit upliftment projects. “When people really give a concerted effort, and come together as a community, you really get to see artists helping other artists,” she says.
Her joy is sharing the magic of light, energy, and information, aligning well with her 11-year journey of practicing wellness and healing arts. She develops VR meditative storytelling worlds through her paintings, created to guide her audience toward states of spiritual elevation and mind expansion, where they truly #journeywithin. Sessions are immersive multi-sensory experiences including Reiki, aromatherapy, sound healing, and culinary pleasures. “Helping others helps me. It’s my own personal medicine, healing and creating all at once,” Alissa says.
Alissa has also been participating and spearheading exhibits during Art Basel Miami, and beyond, for over 15 years. In 2008 she authored and photographed her self-published, yearlong photo-a-day documentary book, I love Miami 365. Her photography portfolio includes fine art as well as some of Miami’s high profile personalities, global healers, musicians, models, and artists, published internationally.
Her most recent endeavor "cryptoLUVR" is a Crypto Art Production & Curation entity, launched with the creation of CRYPTO ART MUSIC NFT VR Exhibit for Miami Art Week 2020. She is also currently the Curator of RAWTHENTIC ART+TECH Fest 2022, presented by CODAME, an organization encouraging exploration and discovery, since 2010 (https://CODAME.COM).
Alissa is available for live VR painting, speaking engagements regarding NFT/VR, photoshoots, commissions for VR 360 music videos, XR experiences, Crypto Art/ NFT / VR Workshops and VR guided meditations for individuals, corporate groups, and events in person, and virtually. To experience her art is to truly take a journey within, and beyond to new worlds.
You can see Alissa’s work at the Mars Landing Galleries in Mars Hill, where she is the NFT art director. She is also hosting workshops and classes on NFT’s for new artists, as well as Concept to Completion workshops. Scholarships to these workshops are provided not only to local artists, but to the global art community. The gallery itself opened in 2021, and they are celebrating their One Year Anniversary party in July. The contemporary gallery shows a vast collection of local artists, proudly presenting a variety of contemporary mediums and pieces created in North Carolina.

MARS LANDING GALLERIES CELEBRATES ONE YEAR
and LAUNCHES NFT ART GALLERY
[Mars Hill, NC] - Mars Landing Galleries celebrates its one-year anniversary, Saturday July 23rd from 2p-8pm in downtown Mars Hill, with the launch of its NFT Art Gallery. The celebration will include art demonstrations and workshops, live virtual reality painting, free NFTs, local food vendors, live music, ice cream by Meadowsweet Creamery, as well as an art raffle benefiting the Community Housing Coalition of Madison County (CHC).
The gallery is on the pulse of art and innovations. Mars Landing Galleries launches its NFT division, led by world-renowned VR artist Alissa Christine, aka LUVRworldwide, as the NFT Program Director. In May, the gallery co-sponsored an NFT Crash Course, hosted by Artivive, Augmented Reality app, for Artists to learn how to sell and authenticate their art in the new crypto economy. A second online course is scheduled for July, in partnership with CODAME ART+TECH incubator.
In its first twelve months, Mars Landing Galleries has showcased and curated the work of 28 artists, facilitated art workshops, and recently hosted the opening season reception for the Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre.
April 2022 marked the inception of the gallery’s monthly rotating solo exhibition series, which to date have included ceramicist Robert Milnes, sculptor Robert Winkler, and the watercolors of multimedia artist Molly Sawyer. Additionally, 2 Corten steel outdoor sculptures by Robert Winkler are currently on display through December. Artists rounding out the year with upcoming solo-shows are abstract watercolorist Celia Reigle, and mixed media artist Leah Waldo.
Mars Landing Galleries is comprised of 6000 SF of exhibit space for works by emerging and established artists under-represented in the Blue Ridge and beyond. The current resident studio artists are: kiln-formed glass artist Amanda Taylor, poet/, mixed media artist Tiffany Narron, and polymer clay artist Barbara A. McGuire.

The Guild NFT is an independent, self-funded, artist-led collective that creates collaborations between artists from all areas across the biosphere, from the OG's to the new and undiscovered gems. It was founded on Ethereum in early Q3 of 2020.
